Περίληψη
Το NewWorlds μας εξιστορεί τις περιπέτειες τεσσάρων νέων στις δύο πλευρές του Ατλαντικού, του Έιμπ και της Μπεθ στην Αγγλία και του Νεντ και της Χόουπ στη Νέα Αγγλία. Διχασμένοι ανάμεσα στην αγάπη και στα ιδανικά τους, προσπαθούν να επιβιώσουν σε έναν συνεχώς μεταβαλλόμενο κόσμο. Ζουν τον έρωτα, την απώλεια και πληρώνουν το κόστος της ελευθερίας που απολαμβάνουμε όλοι εμείς σήμερα. Βρισκόμαστε στο 1680. Ο Βασιλιάς Κάρολος Β' βρίσκεται εδώ και 20 έτη στον Αγγλικό θρόνο. Η ελπίδα πως η αποκατάσταση της μοναρχίας θα έφερνε σταθερότητα σε ένα Βασίλειο που ακόμη επουλώνει τις πληγές του από τον Εμφύλιο Πόλεμο, αρχίζει να χάνεται. Οι φόβοι πως ο Ρωμαιοκαθολικός αδερφός του, Ιάκωβος, θα καταφέρει να πάρει το Στέμμα, ανοίγουν παλιές θρησκευτικές πληγές και πυροδοτούν τους νοσταλγούς του Κρόμγουελ. Ο Βασιλιάς Κάρολος αντιδρά με ωμή βία, ενώ συνεχίζει να κυνηγά τους υπεύθυνους για την εκτέλεση του πατέρα του. Το εκδικητικό του μάτι πέφτει στη Μασαχουσέτη της Νέας Αγγλίας. Εκεί οι Πουριτανοί, κρύβουν έναν από τους εναπομείναντες βασιλοκτόνους. Καθώς ο Βασιλιάς σφίγγει τον κλοιό γύρω από την αποικία, οι Άγγλοι άποικοι έρχονται αντιμέτωποι με μία πιο άμεση απειλή… τους ιθαγενείς Αμερικάνους.

New Worlds is a gripping story of love, loss and the human price paid for the freedoms and liberties we enjoy today. We follow the fortunes of four young people - Beth, Hope, Abe and Ned - from across both sides of the Atlantic, caught up in these turbulent times. We see them struggle as they are torn between love and ideals in the harsh reality of the changing world. In England, the restored monarchy of Charles II has betrayed its promises and reverted to tyranny. Behind the decadence of the Court, a terror machine is repressing the freedoms won for the people with so much blood during the Civil War of England when Charles I was executed. In America, the tentacles of state terror reach the English colonists of New England who are struggling to throw off the shackles of the English Crown.
